1. Warner University Basketball Scrambles

    Date: Nov. 19, 2011
Location: Lake Wales CC (Lake Wales, FL)

Ray Selent, who also attends Victory Church, has invited me to play in his foursome to benefit Warner University's basketball program.

  2. Caddy: PGA Tour Q-School Stage 2

    Date: Nov. 15, 2011 - Nov. 18, 2011
    Location: Southern Hills (Brooksville, FL)

Argentinian Sebastian Saavedra and I teamed up at the Second Stage of the PGA Tour Q-School. Saavedra missed playing in the Final Stage by a few strokes.

  3. Moonlight Golf Tour

    Date: Nov. 9, 2011
Location: Red Tail GC (Sorrento, FL) (Yards: 7152; C.R.:75.1; Slope: 141; Par:72)
    R1 Score POS
    75(+3) 75 t10th/19

Playing in a Moonlight event for the fourth time in 2011 was alright. I was disappointed to play behind a threesome being in a group of just myself and Lloyd Campbell, who shot 72. The cut came at even par and I made two birdies during the round. Three bogeys and a double on No. 9 killed the momentum heading into the back nine. Besides for two untimely swings in which I finished too early and did not clear my hips in time, I was happy with the iron game today. Overall though, pros that putt for pars are like dogs that chase cars. In other words, neither last too long.

  4. Nationwide Tour Winn Dixie Monday Qualifier

    Date: Oct. 17, 2011
Location: Cimarrone GC (Par:72; Course Rating: 73.5; Slope: 137 )
    R1 Score POS
    76

JACKSONVILLE, Florida | Cimarrone Golf Club offers a medium test for tour pros to go low. While spending time at my sister's place in Ponte Vedra, I'd often frequent the links at Cimarrone. Unfortunately, I found myself with 15 clubs in the bag after a tremendous start after going three under in my first three holes. I noticed the extra club (a 3-iron) in my bag on my third hole of the day (the par-5, No. 12).

  5. Nationwide Tour Miccosukee Qualifier

    Date: Oct. 7, 2011
Location: Jacaranda Country Club - East Course (Plantation, FL) (Yards: 7,247; Par: 71; )
    R1 Score POS
    81(+10)

PLANTATION, Florida | Jacaranda Country Club offers a medium-type test for tour pros. 68 or 67 made it last year into a playoff. Hopefully I'll get some momentum heading into the winter season and get back into the rhythm of playing tournament golf. Please pray for me. I really need prayer at this time because I'm getting over that hump of thinking negatively on the course about others and thinking positively. Thank you.

  6. Yuengling Pro-Am: Callaway Gardens

    Date:
    Oct. 3, 2011

PINE MOUNTAIN, Georgia | The Yeungling Pro-Am at Callaway Gardens' Lakeview course offered a great experience to enjoy the surroundings and play with four amateurs who wanted to have a good time. The Lake View course layout did not offer length, but it's character presented challenges off the tee. David Miller shot 68 and won the pro-division by a shot.

  7. NGA Hooters Tour Ocala Monday Qualifier

    Date: Mar. 7, 2011
    Location: Golden Hills CC (Par=72; Yards=7301; Slope=138; Course Rating= 75.7)
    R1 Score POS
    84(+12) 84(+12) ?/49

On a difficult golf course, Pitzen did not prepare properly for the hills of Ocala. The medalist, Brett Stegmaier, shot 68. 74 tied for ninth place and made a playoff for the top 10 qualifiers.

  8. NGA Hooters Winter Series Tour Event #1

    Date: Nov. 2, 2010 - Nov. 4, 2010
Location: Harmony Golf Preserve (Harmony, FL) (Par=72; C.R.=75.8; Slope=135; Yards=7,417)

Harmony GC played long at around 7,400 yards.  I will remain optimistic based on much more consistent play on a tougher golf course than the last two Nationwide Tour Qualifiers and Moonlight event.

  9. Nationwide Tour Winn Dixie Jacksonville Open Qualifier

    Date: Oct. 18, 2010
Location: Marsh Creek Country Club (St Augustine, FL) (Par: 72, Yards: 6,883, Slope: 147, CR: 73.6)

Overall, I'm very pleased with the progress that my game is making.  I'm not satisfied by any means with the resulting score, but my mental approach is much more fresh and solid than one year ago.  Despite hitting a few blocks with my irons and driver hooks, my ball is doing what it's suppose to the majority of the time.  I hit the ball farther than I did in the Miami qualifier last Monday because Marsh Creek was a much tougher golf course.  We started on the back nine and I turned at 41.  I made three birdies on the day an shot 36 on the

  10. Saturday's Lesson and Clubfitting

    Date:
    Oct. 17, 2010

As I was heading up to Sea Island, Georgia Saturday morning, I got excited to be able to work on my game again.  Mike Shannon helped me by setting a tee behind and one in front of my ball.  I'm suppose to take the putter inside now more than I was before without hitting the back tee.  After that, I'm required to take the putter out and through to the target without touching the forward tee.  My setup and ball position had gotten a little out of whack since last year, so Mike moved my ball position a bit back to two putterheads from my left instep.  He also made
